The Flint School of Performing Arts (FSPA) has announced the hiring of Christopher Hall as the new conductor of the Flint Youth Wind Ensemble. Hall is a 1991 graduate of Flint Central High School, and alumnus of the FSPA, having performed with the Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra and Flint Youth Wind Ensemble.

Hall holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Kalamazoo College and a Master's Degree in Music Education from Michigan State University. He currently serves as band director at Goodrich Middle School where he started a string program. As a trumpeter, Hall has performed with the Genesee Wind Symphony since 2004.

Hall said "I am very excited to join the staff at the FSPA as Conductor of the Flint Youth Wind Ensemble. As an alumnus, I recognize FSPA as a music education gem in Michigan."
