The Genesee County Health Department's Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) has received funding from the State to provide free mammograms and pap smears for women ages 40-49 who qualify through September 30, 2012.

In the past, BCCCP has been able to provide free mammograms and pap smears to women ages 40-64 who qualify. Due to state budget cuts, the funding for screening services for women aged 40-49 was reduced. Therefore, BCCCP had only been able to provide services to women ages 50-64. The State has now found the additional funding to allow BCCCP to screen women ages 40-49 who qualify through September 30,2012.

If you are a women age 40-64, and it has been a year since your last mammogram, please contact the BCCCP at (810) 237-4545 to see if you qualify for a free mammogram and/or pap smear. Again, the additional funding for women ages 40-49 is only for a limited time, so call now!
