HAP is hosting a free immunization fair at the Flint Farmers Market today.

The event is aimed at helping keep Flint healthy throughout the flu season, and making sure that kids have necessary vaccines.

The event runs until 2 pm this afternoon in the Ramsdell Room of the Farmers Market.

In addition to the free shots, there will be 50 Thanksgiving turkey's raffled off along with Flint Farmers Market gift cards.

The vaccinations are free, but you are required to bring your health insurance card. There is no copay or out of pocket expenses involved with the event. If you don't have insurance, this is a good opportunity to find out the best way to get covered.

The vaccines that are being offered are:

  • Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis (TDaP)
  • Pneumonia
  • Pneumococcal Conjugate (PCV13)
  • Hepatitis A & Hepatitis B
  • Flu
