A toddler's death in Flint has been ruled a homicide by authorities. According to WNEM, an autopsy performed on Saturday revealed that the two-year-old died of internal injuries.

Police were called to a Flint home on Friday afternoon on a report that a child wasn't breathing. Officers say the mother of the child was attempting to resuscitate the child when emergency responders arrived. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The death is being investigated by both local and state police. There is no word yet on what exactly happened to cause the child's death but a "person of interest" is reportedly in custody and charges are pending.
