Flint to Keep City Owned Golf Courses

The City of Flint is planning to keep two city owned courses while continuing to utilize a private company to operate them.

According to ABC 12, Flint Emergency Manager Darnell Earley signed a resolution last month to extend management and maintenance agreements with Flint City Golf for Swartz Creek and Kearsley Lake Golf Courses.

The city had originally planned to sell the courses, but the new deal is expected to raise more than $135,000 for the city. The extensions are expected to last through November 2023.
