The City of Flint has signed a deal with the Genesee County Land Bank and Center for Community Progress to help with blight elimination. According to MLive, the emergency manager signed off on the partnership on November 6th.  The agreement will allow the two groups to support the implementation of a Blight Elimination framework that has been developed by the city and was released in draft from in March. The draft plan says there are about 22,000 vacant properties in Flint and concentrates on seven steps necessary for eliminating blight from boarding up structured, mowing, code enforcement and demolition.
