Flint Northern High School went into lockdown this morning after reports about a man with a gun.

According to MLive, the Michigan State Police, Flint Police Department and Genesee County Sheriff's Office were all on the scene.

Sheriff Robert J. Pickell said authorities were on the school grounds where they were securing and searching the building. Canine units were also on the grounds.

UPDATE: After an extensive search of the grounds, police came up empty-handed. They were responding to a 911 call claiming a man with a gun was on school grounds, which could not be confirmed as no weapons were found and no arrests were made.

All schools in Genesee County were shut down two days prior to Christmas with threats of violence at multiple schools.
