A hockey commentator for ESPN.com and The Sporting News reported that Boston Bruins goaltender and Flint native Tim Thomas is considering taking the 2012-13 season off.

According to SI.com, Pierre LeBrun made the comments on Wednesday saying he was told Thomas is considering taking the season off and that it's not going to happen for sure.

Thomas won the Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011. He is a two-time Vezina winner for being the league's best goaltender. It's also said Thomas is a possible trade candidate because of his age and that he's entering the final year of his contract.
