A Flint mas was arrested over the weekend for carrying an AK-47 assault rifle and a chase with police.

The Michigan State Police say troopers who were on patrol in the City of flint observed a man walking funny and "uncomfortable by the troopers' presence." The man kept repeatedly tugging on his pant leg and waistband and troopers noticed what appeared to be the grip of a firearm partially concealed by his clothing. When approached by the troopers, the man turned the opposite direction and ran, but not before dropping an AK-47 assault rifle. After a short chase, the subject was arrested and the weapon recovered. The 42-year-old man is currently lodged in the Flint City Jail on multiple felony charges.

The Michigan State Police say this was the sixth firearm taken off the streets in the City of Flint over the past two days.
