Hugh Godfrey, a vendor at the Flint Farmers' Market and better known as the "Chicken Man," will be celebrating 50 years in business this Saturday, March 1st.

Godfrey was 34 when he started at the market. Back then there were 13 stalls that sold chicken and eggs. Today there are only two. Godfrey will be presented with an award in the shape of a golden egg at 11 a.m. tomorrow to commemorate the occasion. The market is encouraging stop by and congratulate Godfrey. A giant card/banner will also be on hand for people to leave their well wishes.
