Flint City Councilman Eric Mays has been charged with another misdemeanor related to his November arrest for allegedly drunken driving, possession of marijuana.

Mays was arrested around 3 a.m. on November 30th when police found him trying to change a tire on a car with four flats. Authorities say the vehicle had been traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-475.

According to MLive, Mays was charged with an additional misdemeanor on Wednesday, failure to report an accident.  He had previously charged with four misdemeanors - operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, no proof of insurance and refusal to be fingerprinted.

Mays has been asked to resign by Flint Emergency Manager Darnell Earley, Mayor Dayne Walling and City Council President Scott Kincaid.
