Flint City Council has the power to do their job back for the first time in nearly five years, but there's a catch.

The Flint City Council has been reporting to a transition board since the Emergency Manager left.  They have been able to make suggestions, but not actually decide any actions.

Now the council will have a 90 day probationary period where they will have complete control.  At the end of that period, they will be evaluated, and then the decision will be made if they keep their power or go back to being supervised.

ABC12 talked to some of the city council members, who were all thrilled to get their power back.
