Flint Church to Pass Out Free Bottled Water

A Flint church has said they will pass out free bottled water on Wednesday, March 18th. According to an email, the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church Outreach Ministry will pass out the free cases of bottled water beginning at 5 p.m.

Georgiana Leach, Outreach Coordinator for the church, says the safety surrounding Flint water has been a concern to area residents for months and that "the House of Prayer MBC Outreach Ministry recognizes that clean drinking water is a necessity." Through donations, the Ministry says they aim to alleviate water burdens faced by many residents while a sustainable water solution is sought.

The House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church is located at 1851 W. Carpenter Road in Flint.
