The University of Michigan Student Government Council and Flint Downtown Development Authority are teaming up to host the 'Stop the Silent Flint 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament' this weekend.

There is no cost for the tournament and players will receive a free t-shirt for participating. However, they must also sign an Individual Anti-Violence Pledge. Part of the pledge reads that individual will do their part to keep their community and schools safe, won't bring any weapons to school, won't be violent and disrespectful to others and will pledge to keep the peace and STOP the silence.

The tournament is being held Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th at the "Flat" lot on South Saginaw Street between Kearsley and 1st in Flint.
