Carolyn Neuffer of Fenton is the first to purchase the Chevy Volt in Michigan reports mlive.com:

Carolyn Neuffer has been enamored with the Chevy Volt from the moment she saw it at last month’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Monday, she became the first person in Michigan to buy a Volt from a Michigan dealer.

The purchase was difficult according to general manager of  McDonald Chevrolet in Millington. The car is not available in Michigan, and is only available at select dealers across the states.

After taking a recent test drive in the Volt, Neuffer was ready to plunk down $31,500 for one.

With no Volts on hand for sale, Prokopenko searched across the country before finally locating one in New Jersey.

“There aren’t many Volt’s out there,” Prokopenko said, adding that the dealership is looking into getting more Volts as soon as it can.
