With Flint claiming the title as America’s most violent city, Genesee County Sheriff Robert J. Pickell has proposed a new violent crime task force.  The joint task force would operate across jurisdictional boundaries and be highly mobile, tackling violent crime at its source.  But where will we put the criminals?  The Genesee County Jail is chronically over-crowded.  The Sheriff’s plan would utilize the Flint City Lock-Up.
