Downtown Flint Restaurant Closing to Accommodate Neighbor’s Expansion

Facebook

Wizeguys Pizza has announced they are closing for good in order to accommodate the expansion of 501 Bar & Grill.

Managing partners and investors made the decision to close the pizza restaurant which had been open since June 2009.

According to MLive, one of the managing partners, Phil Schaltz, said “there has been increased demand for seating at 501 especially on weekends and during special events in the downtown area.”

Schaltz said once the expansion is complete, the new space for 501 Bar & Grill will offer a lounge area with group sofa seating and low cocktail tables. In addition to the new seating, there will be expanded offerings of wine and hand-crafted Michigan beers.

No timetable has been set for when the expansion will be completed.
