Darnell Earley Returns to Flint City Hall as Emergency Manager

City of Saginaw

Darnell Earley returns to Flint City Hall on Tuesday as the city’s third Emergency Manager this year. According to MLive, Earley is considering using the same office he used while in Flint as city administrator in 2004.

Earley will face many challenges in his role as EM. A deficit of $19 million, high numbers in crime and violence and dwindling numbers in the Flint Police Department.

Earley – who will make $180,000 per year – was appointed when Michael Brown resigned in early September citing family reasons.
