Consumers Energy to Host Flint Job Fair

courtesy Consumers Energy

Consumers Energy will host a job fair in Flint in hopes of hiring 144 new employees to help build and replace gas pipelines across the state.

The Flint job fair will be held at the Michigan Works building located at 711 N. Saginaw Street in Suite 300. It will take place on Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Consumers Energy said the job effort will help strengthen its commitment to customer safety and expanding its workforce.

The positions are being created as part of a planned $60 million in gas pipeline work this year. In 2014 that investment is expected to almost double.
