As an end to freezing temperatures nears, the City of Flint is no longer urging residents to run their water through their taps to prevent pipe freezing.

According to a new release from the city, now that the weather forecast in Flint is calling for an end to double digit below zero temperatures, the risk to indoor plumbing has been abated enough to end the precautionary measure.

Last week was one of the coldest on record for the Flint area, creating weather related concerns which prompted the city to recommend the measure.
