The City of Flint has announced leaf pickup will begin the first week of November and will continue throughout the month.

Residents are encourage to bag their leaves for normal yard waste removal on their area's regular trash day, but are allowed to rake leaves into the street ahead of their neighborhood's scheduled leaf removal day.

There are four different pickups throughout the City coinciding with each week in November. Any leaves remaining after the pickup days will have to be bagged by residents for curbside pickup.

Residents will need to bag after their area's scheduled removal time for any excess leaves. Complete information on when leaf pickup will occur for each neighbor hood will be made available on the City's website on October. The pickup areas and dates will be determined by when particular trees are expected to shed leaves.
