The City of Flint's four golf courses are under new management. On March 30, the city entered into maintenance agreements with Flint City Golf, LLC and Mott Park Public Golf Course Association to operate the city's golf courses.

Flint City Golf, LLC agreed to operate and maintain the properties at Swartz Creek, Kearsley Lake, and Pierce Park golf courses. Under the terms of the agreement the group will assume responsibilities for all utilities, day-to-day fees, and maintenance of facilities.

Thomas Warda will manage the day-to-day operations and says his group is excited about their new partnership with the City of Clint. Warda said "Flint City Golf, LLC is elated over the opportunity to maintain and improve the city's golf courses. With reduced rates, internet based tee times and a golf calendar if events, we intend to provide the best golf experience in Genesee County."

Warda's group will manage Swartz Creek Golf Course for two years; Kearsley Lake Golf Course for five years and; Pierce Park Golf Course for ten years. Warda added "the city's efforts have been exceptional throughout this process and the community will benefit."

Swartz Creek and Kearsley Lake will open for play this season; Pierce Park is expected to open for play during the 2013 golf season. For more in formation, visit www.flintcitygolf.com.
