The City of Flint has announced yard waste removal will resume on Monday, April 6th. Residents with yard waste are asked to have it set curbside in approved waste cans weighing less than 50 pounds or in the approved brown paper yard waste bags. The yard waste must be set 10 feet from regular waste. Bags must be out by 7 a.m. on the resident's normal garbage days.

The city also says bundles of branches and twigs no larger than 2 inches in diameter and no longer than 4 feet long will also be picked up. The bundles must be tied together and cannot exceed 50 ponds. There is a limit of 10 brush bundles per week and no tree trunks or stumps will be accepted curbside.

For more information on yard waste collection guidelines, residents can contact Republic Services at (800) 438-0966 or visit the City of Flint's website here.
