Gabrielle Giffords’ Husband, Mark Kelly, Planned to Fly in Fatal Reno Air Show

A spokesman for Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was severely injured in a shooting spree earlier this year, said Giffords’ husband, Mark Kelly, was scheduled to fly in the Reno air show on Friday — the same day a plane at that event crashed into the crowd of spectators and killed 10 people.

Pat Robertson Says Divorcing a Spouse with Alzheimer’s Is Justifiable

Deeply conservative Pat Robertson shocked some viewers of his ’700 Club’ program on Tuesday when he told one of them that it’s okay to divorce a spouse with Alzheimer’s disease.

The man said he was conflicted because a friend whose wife has Alzheimer’s has been cheating on her. Robinson responded, “I know it sounds cruel, but if he’s going to do something, he should divorce her and start all over again, but make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her.”

Missing Colorado Cat Shows Up Five Years Later in New York City

If she could talk, this calico cat named Willow would have some stories to tell.

Five years ago, the feline left the Squire home in Broomfield, Colorado when a contractor neglected to close a door. After there were no responses to the “lost cat” posters the Squires put up around the neighborhood, the family figured their pet had been eaten by the coyotes that are prevalent in the area.

Then, yesterday, the Squires got a very surprising phone call. Calico, who was mircochipped as a kitten, had been brought to an animal rescue shelter in New York City after a man spotted her wandering a Manhattan street.

Although most scientists believe the electromagnetic radiation emitted by technology such as Wi-Fi and cell phones is largely harmless, a small group of people nevertheless believe they suffer from a malady called Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, or EHS.

The five percent of Americans who think they have EHS allegedly experience such symptoms as chest pains, headaches, and hearing loss. Some of them are so convinced of the evils of electromagnetic radiation that they’ve packed up and moved to a 13,000-square-mile area of West Virginia that has no wireless technology.
