With the Michigan Supreme Court ruling Friday that Public Act 4 must go on the ballot this November, and the State Board of Canvassers certifying the ballot initiative today, Flint's Emergency Manager, Michael Brown, is officially relieved of duty.

Mlive reports that Ed Kurtz is back in, having been appointed by the state's Local Emergency Financial Assistance Loan Board, to serve as Flint's emergency financial manager, under Public Act 72, a position he also filled from 2002-2004.
