The past year has been a rough one for television personalities Bill and Giuliana Rancic. The couple’s quest to have a baby resulted in failed IVF treatments and a miscarriage, and Giuliana underwent a double-mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Now the two finally have some good news to share — with the help of a gestational surrogate, they’ll be parents this summer.

The stars of the reality show ‘Giuliana & Bill’ stopped by the ‘Today’ show on Monday morning, telling host Ann Curry that learning they’d found a woman willing to carry their biological child was “one of the best moments” of their lives.

“It’s incredible,” said Giuliana. “We’ve been trying for so long, we’ve been through so much…and to finally get that call from the doctor, it was just another world, another level.”

“It was pretty emotional because this was our last stop,” Bill added.

The couple has been remarkably open about their struggles, so it’s no surprise they’d also be quick to share their good news with fans and supporters. “One of the things we’ve always tried to do is help others with our story,” Bill said. “Whether it’s with the infertility issues, whether it’s with the breast cancer, we said we’re gonna turn these negatives into positives. And if we can help others … then it’s worth it.”
