Fans of James Cameron’s mega-hit ‘Avatar’ are going to get an even closer look at Pandora, the film’s utopian planet. An ‘Avatar’-inspired theme park that will “look, feel and smell” like the movie is slated to open in Orlando, Florida in 2016.

Construction on the entertainment complex will begin on the grounds of Walt Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2013. According to Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Tom Staggs, the theme park will include “attractions, entertainment, shops, food and beverages.”

The project got the thumbs-up from Cameron, who told reporters, “I quickly realized that [Disney's] vision for this thing was far beyond what I’d imagined – and I’ve got a pretty good imagination.”

Two planned film sequels to ‘Avatar’ are scheduled to be released in December 2014 and December 2015, respectively.
