After being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week, running back Jerome Harrison was undergoing a routine physical when doctors discovered a brain tumor. The discovery both nullified the trade from the Detroit Lions and may have saved Harrison’s life. He reportedly underwent surgery on Friday to remove the tumor.
Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed on Sunday after his car collided with others during the IndyCar Series season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His death was pronounced approximately two hours after he was airlifted to University Medical Center.
