If you want an earnest apology from Amy Schumer, understand that contrition simply isn't part of her routine.

On Sunday (October 16), about 200 people at Schumer's Tampa show walked out of the 20,000-seat Amalie Arena after the comedian went political with her act, and referred to Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump as an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster." Not only did Schumer remain unapologetic at her show last night (October 19) at New York City's Madison Square Garden, she mockingly shrugged off criticism of her earlier discourse.

"I’ve written an open letter to Tampa and I’d like to read it tonight,” she began, according to People. “Dearest Tampa, I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was okay to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?"

People says the audience got a kick out of Schumer's non-apology, and continued laughing through the next section of her response.

"After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy," she continued. "Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for [Trump] and the very poor people who’ve been tricked into it."

Finally, Schumer delivered one last bit of snark that resonated up into the cheap seats.

"And Tampa, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster,” she noted. “Shouldn’t have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."
