The American Red Cross Genesee-Lapeer Chapter in Flint is hosting an open house with fun for the whole family on Saturday. At the open house, kids will be able to touch-an-emergency truck, learn fire safety training with the smoke house and get free child ID kits. There will also be a rock wall, tours of the facility and kids health and safety classes focusing on: Hands Only CPR, Basic First Aid, Personal Hygiene and Disaster Preparedness. A community blood drive will also be taking place throughout the event and there will be free food and smoothies. The open house runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Red Cross building located at 1401 S. Grand Traverse Street in Flint.
