Amazon plans to open another fulfillment center in Michigan, which would bring 1,600 jobs.

The online retailer Amazon plans to spend $140 million to build a new fulfillment center in Romulus, MI. The Michigan Strategic Fund Board meets today to consider a $5 million grant for Amazon. This grant would help offset some of the costs for building the facility, like substantial road and infrastructure improvements.

Construction is already underway on the fulfillment center in Livonia, MI. Amazon received a $7.5 million dollar grant for that project that will add 1,000 new jobs.

With all these new fulfillment centers in Michigan does that mean we will soon get same day delivery? I feel like my Amazon Prime habits are already out of control, same day delivery might make me go broke.
