AAA Michigan: Statewide Gas Prices Unchanged

Gas prices across the state remain unchanged, AAA Michigan reports. The current statewide average is about $3.13 per gallon about 35 cents less than the same time last year.

Gas prices in and around the Flint area are right around the state average of $3.13, up nine cents from last week. Of the other cities surveyed by AAA Michigan, the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $3.07 per gallon. The highest average is in the Marquette area at about $3.26 a gallon.

According to AAA Michigan, some of the fuel factors contributing to the prices include low demand combined with abundant supply which has kept downward pressure on global oil prices.
