AAA Michigan: Statewide Gas Prices Drop a Dime

The average weekly gas price has dropped about ten cents from last week according to AAA Michigan. The current statewide average is about $2.84 per gallon.

Of the cities surveyed in Michigan by AAA, the lowest average price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Jackson area, where it's about $2.67 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $2.94 per gallon. Gas prices in and around the Flint area are averaging $2.72 per gallon.

AAA says the lingering effects of regional refinery issues continue to be reflected in the monthly price comparisons at the state level and international considerations remain front and center for oil prices, due to their potential to impact both global supply and nations' demand for crude oil on the global market.
