AAA Michigan: Statewide Gas Prices Drop 17 Cents

According to AAA Michigan, the average weekly gas price has dropped 17 cents in the past week. Michigan's current statewide average is about $2.17 per gallon.

Of the cities surveyed by AAA, the lowest prices can be found in the Flint area where it's about $2.05 per gallon. The highest averages can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $2.27 per gallon.

AAA says this year's autumn refinery maintenance season continues to make headlines for its impact on the Midwest markets and global oil prices have hit fresh lows on the heels of news that U.S. crude oil stockpiles increased for the seventh consecutive week.
