AAA Michigan: Post-Holiday Gas Prices Rise

Motorists around the state will find average gas prices up this week according to a new report from AAA Michigan. The current statewide average is just under $3.83 per gallon, almost nine cents higher than last week.

Gas prices in and around Flint are right in line with the statewide average at $3.83 per gallon.

According to AAA, increases in retail demand due to warmer temperatures are adding some upward pressure on wholesale prices, and the rise in demand is beginning to outpace the increases in supplies. Political tensions between Russia and Ukraine are also continuing to keep global markets on edge and are being monitored by market watchers for any signs of escalation.
