AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Tick Up Two Cents

Gas prices ticked up for the first time five weeks according to AAA Michigan. The current statewide average is slightly over $3.51 per gallon, which is two cents more than last week and 17 cents lower than last year at this time.

As of Sunday, gas prices in the Flint area are slightly higher than the statewide average with prices hovering around $3.53 per gallon. The cheapest gas prices can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $3.42 per gallon. The highest averages are in the Marquette area at about $3.57 a gallon.
