AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Plunge 11 Cents

Gas prices in Michigan have dropped 11 cents in the last week according to AAA Michigan. The current statewide average is about $2.05 per gallon.

Of the ten Michigan metro areas surveyed by AAA for self-serve unleaded fuel prices, the lowest average can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $1.96 per gallon. The highest average price can be found in the Marquette area where it's about $2.12 per gallon. Gas prices in and around the Flint area were averaging $1.99 as of Sunday.

AAA says Michigan ranks 17th in the nation for least expensive average daily gas price and third in the nation for the largest weekly change in prices. AAA also says that a pipeline restarting operations and that gas prices are expected to keep moving lower.
