State motorists will find the average price of gas has risen for a second week in a row. AAA Michigan reports the statewide average is slightly over $3.91 per gallon, up seven cents from last week.

As of Sunday, gas prices in and around Flint were averaging $3.92 per gallon. The cheapest gas prices can be found in the Marquette area, the highest in Traverse City.

AAA attributes the high prices to increased demand over the Memorial Day weekend, wholesale gasoline prices on the rise and simmering geopolitical tensions - most notably in Ukraine and Libya - are being monitored as they may impact global supplies.
